Breath is the voice of the soul, and healing begins when we learn to listen to it. Every wound we carry, whether grief, fear, or old pain, settles into the body and shows itself in how we breathe: held tight, shallow, or hurried. But breath is also a doorway back. When we slow it and let it deepen, we send the soul a quiet message that it is safe to soften. Each long inhale makes room for what we have been avoiding, and each slow exhale releases a little of what we no longer need to carry. Nothing has to be forced or fixed. We simply return to the breath again and again, and in that gentle returning, the soul is heard, the body settles, and healing has room to unfold.
Breath of life, gentle and unseen,
I return to you now.
With this inhale, I welcome peace.
With this exhale, I release what I no longer need to carry.
Hold me in this quiet rhythm,
and let my soul be heard.
May each breath be a healing,
each pause a rest,
and each moment a reminder that I am here, and I am held.
And so it is
